Spring planting

Who is ready to plant? I am!

I struggle with gardening from time to time. Last year I planted a tomato that grew about 7 ft tall and bore a lot of fruit – but I never got a chance to enjoy any of it because squirrels got there before me. Darn Berkeley squirrels. They think they own this place? Next time I’m going to build a tomato cage with chicken wire… let’s see them tackle that, ha!

But for now, I thought I’d get started with some easy herbs. I don’t get a lot of sun, so parsley, chives, and mint will do just fine. I also picked up a fuchsia – looking forward to the flowers! Definitely feels like spring!
